Total Time: 25 Minutes
Yeid: 8–10 cups popped popcorn
Ingredients:
🍿 Kettle Corn
• 1 cup popcorn kernels
• 3 tablespoons coconut oil
• 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
🎂 Birthday Cake Glaze
• 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (high quality recommended)
• 1/2 teaspoon cake batter flavoring oil
• Sprinkles
DIRECTIONS:
Make the Kettle Corn:
1. In a large 4–5 quart pot over medium-high heat, melt the coconut oil.
2. Add one kernel of popcorn and cover with the lid slightly tilted to create a small vent.
3. Once that kernel pops, add the remaining popcorn kernels, sugar, and salt.
4. Stir quickly to coat, then spread the kernels evenly across the bottom of the pot.
5. Cover with the lid slightly vented and shake gently as the popcorn begins to pop.
6. Continue shaking for 2–3 minutes, until the popping slows significantly.
Melt the Chocolate:
1. Fill a pot with a few inches of water and bring to a simmer.
2. Place white chocolate in a heat-safe bowl over the pot (make sure water does not touch the bowl).
3.Stir gently until smooth and melted.
4. Add cake batter flavoring oil and stir to combine.
5. Transfer melted chocolate to a piping bag or spoon for drizzling.
Assemble:
1. Line a tray with parchment paper.
2. Spread popcorn in a single layer.
3. Drizzle with white chocolate.
4. Immediately sprinkle with colorful sprinkles.
5. Let set until chocolate hardens.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
Diana’s Tip ✨
If you want extra drizzle (and who doesn’t?), double the glaze ingredients. This popcorn also makes adorable party favors when packaged in clear treat bags.
