The curving gravel drive leads you up a gentle slope. To your left are the 60' round corral, the 80'x140' welded rail riding arena, and the breezeway barn. The barn has three 12'x12' stalls that open out into large paddocks; the stall floors are covered with SoftStall. The 12' wide barn aisle is concrete floored, as are the 12'x12' tack room and the 12'x 24' hay/equipment storage area. Paired sliding doors with large windows at either end of the barn aisle can be left open in fair weather or pulled shut to block out wind, rain and snow.

On the other side of the drive, and beyond the house, your eyes sweep across hundreds of acres of open grasslands to the distinctive oak-and-juniper studded Canelo Hills of the Coronado National Forest. You can ride out across the open ranches to the wonderful trails in that forest with the ranchers¿ permission.

Before you is the house. You notice the extra-wide garage doors and the colored, textured concrete with the look of flagstone that comprises the apron on the 3 car garage and the walk ways around the house to the tiled, covered patios. The back yard is embraced by a curving sweep of low wall, which shelters a large, tile-roofed wishing-well koi pond. The front yard is enclosed by a low split-rail fence. Up against the house are flower beds with drought-tolerant plants that provide an interesting visual texture.

The stained glass front door opens into a small vestibule, with the kitchen/dining area to the right and the great room to the left. Everywhere you look, there is solid oak woodwork and cabinetry, ceramic tile or neutral carpet on the floor, and large windows that frame the expansive views. To the East, you can see an hours¿ drive away on a hazy day, to the Dragoon Mountains near Tombstone, and on a clear day you can see as far as the Chiracahua Mountains.

The house features a see-through fireplace, a wet bar in the Great Room, central vacuum and a central intercom/radio system with speakers in every room including the garage, and on front and back patios. There are ceiling fans in almost every room, a total of four outside entrances, a 3-car garage with skylights and built-in cabinets, and a built-in barbecue area on the patio, with a gas grill, a charcoal grill, and a gas burner. The rooms are generous in size, the ceilings are high, and there are skylights in the pantry, the master bedroom walk-in closet, and both bathrooms.
